Laurie Childers
Senior Director of Operations
Laurie Childers joined TOPAZ in 2006 and has served various roles within TOPAZ, most recently as Operations Manager. Laurie is a seasoned software and web development leader with 2 decades of experience in software solutions. She has a strong knowledge of portfolio operational processes allowing her to manage the financial health of the business and client engagements.
Laurie’s previous employers include The National Park Service, Dun & Bradstreet, HomeAway, and Charles Schwab. Laurie also holds a number of agile and scrum certifications and a Bachelor’s degree with Honors in Anthropology from Texas State University.
Dan Bruce
Business Development Manager
Dan joined TOPAZ in 2020, to spearhead TOPAZ’s product development. His rich and multi-faceted experience including institutional compliance at Thomas Jefferson University, laboratory and business management at the University of Pennsylvania, and animal care and facility management at the University of Maryland has provided him with strong animal welfare and compliance background. Additionally, he has Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, and a Master’s in Business Administration. This experience along with his more recently acquired software implementation knowledge will continue to be invaluable as he helps steer TOPAZ forward.
